Proceeds will be helping:

Carbondale Main Street will be using the funds from this festival to continue improvement and revitalization efforts in Downtown Carbondale which includes; facade improvement grants, free community events, landscaping projects and more!

Overview Of Agency

Carbondale Main Street is proud to help improve and promote the downtown district of Carbondale, Illinois. As a part of the National Main Street program, Carbondale Main Street specializes in economic development, organization, design as well as promotion in the downtown area. Carbondale Main Street is a resource for the businesses in the downtown district; offering design assistance grants and promotional tools for all of our retail and service locations, restaurants, and other establishments. Carbondale Main Street also plans and helps to coordinate the special events in downtown, including the Fourth Friday Fairs, Carbondale Classic and The Lights Fantastic Parade.

The Fermentation Science Institute will use the funds raised from the CarbondALE Brew Fest to further the mission of the institute, including the support of student activities, community outreach and support of fermentation related economic development and tourism.

Overview of Agency

The mission of the Fermentation Science Institute is to support the students and faculty of Southern Illinois University Carbondale to advance knowledge in the associated areas of fermentation science and to transfer this knowledge through our educational programs, research activities and outreach to the regional fermentation industries, which include the production and analysis of alcoholic beverages, fermented foods and cheese, and industrial fermentation.
